Day 25

We drove to Eugene, Oregon today and played at a park with Kelly and
her kids. They were lots of fun and the park was diferrent from the ones we have in Santa Barbara. There was a really cool water part where everyone in awhile a huge fountain/shower type thing turns on and soaks whoever is standing under it. There was fun play structures and a great sand/rock area. We went to ice cream with our new friends and then started driving again. We decided to stay in a hotel instead of camping tonight because we were all tired and it was getting late by the time we had dinner. It was sure nice to get a hot shower.
Day 24

Hi guys I'm having fun. We went to the Peninsula and hit 4 hours of trafic and construction on the road and for you Twilight fans we went to Forks, where Twilight began. After that, we drove to the Hoh rainforest. We walked along a hike called the Hall of Mosses. There were fallen trees and tons of moss. The rest of the day was pretty much in the car. We spent the night at my mom's friend's house in Vancouver, Wa.

Day 23
Today we went to church. The church was a really big building with really high ceilings. We stayed in big church with Mom, Dad, Uncle Devon, Aunt Jen, Josh, & Zach. We played on the playground when church was over. During the day, we just played and played at the house. Josh had to leave for camp, so it was sad to say good-bye. We have had a lot of jumping on the trampoline and playing Wii.
We leave tomorrow to start our trip home.

Day 22

Today we hung out at the Duval's house for most of the morning. We played Wii, we jumped on the trampoline, we dart gun wars, and had a lot of fun. After the little boys woke up from their naps, we went to the beach. The water in Puget Sound is really cold. We played in the sand, got our feet wet, and had a lot of sun... it was a hot day. When we got back to the house, we had a BBQ with Aunt Jen's parents.

Day 20
Today we are going to hang out at the Duval's. We might go to a park, but we are going to meet Uncle Devon later at the movie theater and see Despicable Me. I will write more later.
Day 19
This morning we woke in the tent and played Wii while we waited for mom, dad, and the little boys to come over. Blake slept until 11am. We had a yummy breakfast of boysenberry muffins, had a buffet in Sophia's Cafe, and picked rasberries. Then we said our goodbyes and drove to Washington. We got to Uncle Devon's house around dinner, and we all went to pizza at the Round Table. Blake & I slept in Josh & Zach's room and Aunt Jen read to us before we went to bed. The book was called Guardinas of Ga'Hoole.
DAY 18

On Tuesday, the dad and the big kids got up early to go fishing. We fished from the canoes. It was really fun but we only caught one fish. Daddy was the one who caught it. Then we met the moms and the little boys up at Trilliom Lake, right next to Mount Hood. We played in the water, went in the canoes, had hot dogs, and caught 30 newts. We also saw lots of ducks, and a snake in the water. When we got home, we got to visit with Aunt Bethany's dad, have a campfire in the backyard, and Blake & I slept in a tent in the backyard with Alden and Sophie and Uncle JJ.
day 17
Day 16

On Sunday, Uncle Jason got us all tickets to go to a Nascar race in Portland. The racer we were supporting was Moses Smith in car #16, driving the HASA car, It was really loud and really fun. Hunter & Jordan really enjoyed it. We all got HASA hats, a free lunch, and got to look inside a racecar. That night, Uncle JJ, Aunt Bethany, Alden, & Sophie came over to our hotel to swim. It was a small pool, the deep end was 5 feet deep, but we had a good time.

Day 15
We slept in a nice hotel last night. We had yummy french toast for breakfast before taking off for Hood River, about an hour away. We visited my mom's cousin, Cathy and her family. Her husband Jim was there, her daughter Jenny with her new baby Violet, her son Paul, and her mom, my mom's Aunt Thais. They were all very nice to us. They had a big yard where we could run around and play. We had a nice lunch and a yummy dessert. They also gave us advice about how to find the waterfall.
We then went to a Fish Hatchery. We saw many fish. The biggest fish, a sturgeon called Hermon, was huge. They said he was 10 feet long.
Then we went to Multnomah Falls. It is one of the tallest waterfalls in America. Dad, Blake, & I hiked up to the bridge right below the falls.
After our little trip, we went back to our cousins' house for dinner. We had tacos and played in the back yard.
Day 14

Today we went to the zoo. Everybody had a great time. My favorite animal was the polar bear. One of them even looked like he was dancing. We also saw bats, a wolf, a black bear, a sun bear, zebras, & beavers. After the zoo, we went to Uncle JJ's house to see him, Aunt Bethany, Alden, & Sophie. It was fun for Hunter & Jordan to meet them for the first time. Everyone got along great. I went with Uncle JJ to go get Dad from the airport. It was great to see him again after a week.
Day 13
Today we went to Tillamook. First we went to the Tillamook Cheese Factory. We had a lot of fun. We enjoyed the cheese tasting line so much that we went through a second time. I loved the squeeky cheese. We got to see the viewing area and watched as they made cheese. We ate lunch there and even got to have some Tillamook ice cream.
Then we went to the Tillamook Air Museum. My favorite part was sitting in the simulators. It was so interesting looking at all of the old planes. We stayed the night at my mom's friend Denise's house. We got to play at a play ground and go out for Mexican food.

day 12
First we went on ATVs on the Oregon Dunes. That was so much fun. Blake & I each got a turn on our own ATV, and everyone else rode with mom on a 4 person ATV. Sometimes we got stuck in the sand and one time, mom almost tipped the 4 person one over.
Next we drove up to the Sea Lion Caves. We took an elevator down the cliff and got to see the largest sea cave. It was really stinky, but we saw a lot of sea lions sitting on the rocks in the cave. It kind of echoed from the waves coming in and out. There were also some exhibits and we saw a sea lion skeleton from 1880.
We drove the rest of the way to Lincoln City and went to a glass blowing factory. Blake & I got a chance to try it. We each picked colors of glass and got to blow a glass float. It was really hot. Like 2300 degrees hot. But we had fun.
Day 11
Today we went on the Jet Boats up the Rogue River. They were a lot of fun. We did donuts and some wild driving on the rapids. We saw bald eagles, deer, & a black bear. We got so wet. We stopped half way and had lunch. It was really windy, but the wind dried us off. Then we drove up to Coos Bay to camp at Sunset Bay State Park.
Day 10
We woke up this morning and could see the redwoods in the mist from the ceiling of our tent. We cooked pancakes & sausage and had fun around the campsite for awhile. After packing up, we hiked down to Agate Beach. Agate Beach had some agates, but they were hard to find. So we just walked around and picked up pretty rocks. Then we started our drive into Oregon. While we were driving, we saw some elk on the side of the rode and we drove through a giant redwood. We got to Gold Beach and stayed in a hotel. We went in the jacazzi, ordered some pizza, and watched Harry Potter & the Half Blood Prince on TV (Jordan & Hunter were already asleep).
DAY 9
We woke up this morning and went on the Skunk Train in Fort Bragg. We have this book that mom & dad have read to us for years about Super Skunk, and it was fun to actually go on the same train from the book. The train ride was fun. We rode through the redwoods, along the Noyo river, and stopped in for lunch. Then we rode back. The rest of the day we drove up the coast to Patrick's point where we camped for the night. On our way up the coast, we drove through a redwood tree. Blake & I set up the tent all by ourselves. We roasted marshmellows and had a camp fire.

Day 8

Today, Saturday, we had to leave Mount Hermon, boo hoo. We said good bye to all of our friends, gave dad, grandma, papa, and ally a big hug and headed for San Francisco. We drove down Lombard St, the crookedest street in the world. We walked along Fisherman's Wharf and had chowder bowls. We saw a guy holding really still and all painted in silver. He looked like he was a statue. There was also a guy sitting on the sidewalk and hiding behind 2 branches. He kept jumping out and scaring people as they walked by. He scared Blake both times we walked past him. We walked to Pier 39 and saw a bunch of endangered seals. We saw Alcatraz in the distance and drove across the Golden Gate Bridge. We tried to drive along the coast, but Blake & I kept getting car sick. We finally made it to Fort Bragg and we are looking forward to going on the Skunk Train tomorrow.
Check back in tomorrow. Good night.
